Better communication tools are crucial for a safe and efficient operation underground.
AINA Small Talk Push-to-Talk provides real-time voice messaging on AINA Kepler, a purpose-built ready-to-go communication device with in-built loud speaker.
Kepler combines the ease-of-use of traditional Land-Mobile-Radios (LMR) with modern IoT-technology. Kepler Small Talk Two-Way-Radio is available as an LTE or Wi-Fi version and can be hosted on AINA’s cloud server or installed on-premise.
AINA has deployed AINA Kepler to large mining operations and tunnel constructions worldwide. AINA Kepler provides seamless communication on a private underground LTE or Wi-Fi network. AINA Kepler features a Direct-Mode-Operation (DMO) for communication where there is no more network available, e.g. in areas where a network cannot be built due to daily operations related to explosions.
Communication on Wi-Fi networks can sometimes be interrupted when workers are moving in vehicles and need to roam between routers above or under ground. To optimize communication and prevent loss in communication, AINA has build a test drive for the AINA Kepler Wi-Fi model. AINA has optimized hopping between routers to allow seamless communication via Wi-Fi roaming even for driving vehicles on below ground roads.
